On November 22, MOTIVATE XR consortium meeting concluded a successful three-day meeting filled with innovation, teamwork, and important updates. Hosted by Architectural Aluminium Academy (AAA), this event brought all partners together to discuss the progress of the MOTIVATE XR project.
Day One: Building the Foundation
The day featured a comprehensive project management and coordination session. Led by Gruppo Maggioli project coordinator, this session elaborated on the deliverables, reporting requirements, and provided an overview of the current status of the project, setting a clear path for the next steps. A noteworthy aspect was the focus on MOTIVATE XR continuous integration and verification, which ensured that our processes remain efficient and effective as we move forward.
Throughout the discussions, the ethical dimensions of XR technologies emerged as a key highlight. The discussion aimed to create a strong foundation for the MOTIVATE XR platform, which is crucial for future development. Partners agreed on the commitment to creating solutions that are responsible and meaningful. Together they identified key challenges and opportunities of XR applications, which will help set ethical standards as we move forward.
Day Two: Progress and Collaboration
The second day was packed with various presentations and workshops. Work package leaders started the day by sharing significant milestones reached since our last meeting and elaborated on the future steps ahead. All sessions demonstrated the hard work and achievements of everyone involved in the project.
During that day partners have the possibility to learn more about the status of the authoring tools and further actions that will be done within the project.
Another important point in the agenda was a workshop on Dissemination and Exploitation of Results, led by F6S, which made use of the MIRO Board to brainstorm partners’ thoughts on how to communicate the project outcomes to various stakeholders, and identify the exploitation results that will be established within the project. Partners also had the possibility to learn about all results, Key Exploitable Results and its strategic place within the project execution. The co-creation session has been very successful in terms of new findings as far as project results are concerned.
Day 3: Co-design and User Experience
The last day was mainly focused on a workshop led by the Design Area team from CETMA, which focused on the co-design of the User Experience, where partners had the possibility of trying and experiencing the tool. This interactive session gathered insights from diverse stakeholders, facilitating a collaborative environment that emphasised the importance of user-centric design in XR interfaces of our XR tools, ensuring they are intuitive and accessible to all users.
Conclusion: Looking Ahead
As the MOTIVATE XR partners leave this stunning city with new insights and strengthened partnerships, the path ahead is clearer than ever. The commitment to ethical innovation and user-centred design will serve as guiding principles as we move into the project’s next phases. Together, we are excited about the possibilities of XR and look forward to the journey ahead!
A special thank you goes to AAA for hosting this inspiring and productive meeting. Their dedication to fostering a nurturing environment for collaborative efforts among partners was evident throughout our time in Thessaloniki.
